Israel Charged With Systematic Harassment of
U.S. Marines

It was 12 years ago, on March 14, 1983, that the commandant of the Marine Corps sent a highly unusual letter to the secretary of defense expressing frustration and anger at Israel. General R.H. Barrow charged that Israeli troops were deliberately threatening the lives of Marines serving as peacekeepers in Lebanon. There was, he wrote, a systematic pattern of harassment by Israel Defense Forces (IDF) that was resulting in "life-threatening situations, replete with verbal degradation of the officers, their uniform and country."
Barrow's letter added: "It is inconceivable to me why Americans serving in peacekeeping roles must be harassed, endangered by an ally...It is evident to me, and the opinion of the U.S. commanders afloat and ashore, that the incidents between the Marines and the IDF are timed, orchestrated, and executed for obtuse Israeli political purposes."1
Israel's motives were less obtuse than the diplomatic general pretended. It was widely believed then, and now, that Israeli Defense Minister Ariel Sharon, one of Israel's most Machiavellian politician-generals, was creating the incidents deliberately in an effort to convince Washington that the two forces had to coordinate their actions in order to avoid such tensions. This, of course, would have been taken by the Arabs as proof that the Marines were not really in Lebanon as neutral peacekeepers but as allies of the Israelis, a perception that would have obvious advantages for Israel.2
Barrow's extraordinary letter was indicative of the frustrations and miseries the Marines suffered during their posting to Lebanon starting on Aug. 25, 1982, as a result of Israel's invasion 11 weeks earlier. Initially a U.S. unit of 800 men was sent to Beirut harbor as part of a multinational force to monitor the evacuation of PLO guerrillas from Beirut. The Marines, President Reagan announced, "in no case... would stay longer than 30 days."3 This turned out to be only partly true. They did withdraw on Sept. 10, but a reinforced unit of 1,200 was rushed back 15 days later after the massacres at the Palestinian refugee camps at Sabra and Shatila that accompanied the Israeli seizure of West Beirut. The U.S. forces remained until Feb. 26, 1984.4
During their-year-and-a-half posting in Lebanon, the Marines suffered 268 killed.5 The casualties started within a week of the return of the Marines in September 1982. On the 30th, a U.S.-made cluster bomb left behind by the Israelis exploded, killing Corporal David Reagan and wounding three other Marines.6
Corporal Reagan's death represented the dangers of the new mission of the Marines in Lebanon. While their first brief stay had been to separate Israeli forces from Palestinian fighters evacuating West Beirut, their new mission was as part of a multinational force sent to prevent Israeli troops from attacking the Palestinian civilians left defenseless there after the withdrawal of PLO forces. As President Reagan said: "For this multinational force to succeed, it is essential that Israel withdraw from Beirut."7

They haven’t found the culprits yet who burned the U.S. and military flags of a former Marine in north Dallas this week.
But support and offers to replace the flags have poured in.
Avi Selk of the Dallas Morning News has the follow-up:
Our little story about a few front-porch flags that got burned in Far North Dallas has sparked a firestorm of attention since it ran on Tuesday.
The story, which my editor discovered from a single line in an obscure police report, (â€UNK SUSP BURNED USA FLAG MOUNTED IN FRONT OF COMP RESIDENCEâ€) has also grabbed the attention of nearly every TV station in Dallas and the Associated Press. It’s also made the rounds on Twitter and caught the eye of conservative blogger Michelle Malkin.
Since writing the article, I’ve been contacted by soldiers, civilians, a flag manufacturer and the agent for Kid Rock — all of whom want to help replace the burned flags. An Army veteran offered up an American flag he said had been flown over several camps and bases in Iraq.

The eBay auction seller who has tried multiple times to sell an allegedly genuine copy of Barack Obama’s ‘birth certificate’ from Mombasa, Kenya, now is offering for sale a photograph of several individuals who reportedly contributed to the strategy through which the still-unproven documented was obtained.
And the seller, identified as “colmado_naranja,†who claims to have obtained the document while traveling Africa, suggested more information will be revealed on a YouTube video that is planned.
“My user name is InspectorSmith. I’ve had the account for some time. I have never uploaded anything. … So this will be the first time that I’ve ever uploaded anything. So you’ll get your document yet, up close and personal,†the seller wrote on the latest eBay posting.
The seller explained previously that Kenyans had boasted Barack Obama II was born in the Coast Provincial Hospital in Mombasa at 7:24 p.m. on Aug. 4, 1961, which correlates to speculation that has existed over the president’s birthplace since even prior to his election.

Those not walking around in a self induced coma are aware of the 38 lawsuits regarding Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro aka Barry Obama aka Barack Dunham aka Barry Dunham, over his false citizenship claims. Double digit millions of Americans now know the legal facts or at least are questioning why Obama/Soetoro won't release his long form birth certificate. Of course, that isn't the core issue, but millions of us know there is something wrong or Obama/Soetoro would have released it by now, as well as his college transcripts as have other candidates and presidents.
Despite the bald faced lies by the compromised media, not a single case to date has been heard on merit or legal arguments..
Obama recently crowed to an audience of his cult followers and fellow Marxists:
"Why bother hanging out with celebrities when I can spend time with the people who made me one?" Obama asked the crowd of black tie journalists and media personalities gathered at the Washington Convention Center. "I know where my bread is buttered." And: "I have to admit though, it wasn't easy coming up with fresh material for this dinner," Obama said. "A few nights ago, I was up tossing and turning trying to figure out exactly what to say. Finally, when I couldn't get back to sleep, I rolled over and asked Brian Williams what he thought."
Obama/Soetoro thinks that's funny. It is the compromised media that helped "elect" this usurper and continues the black out regarding his real citizenship status. All these cable network anchors and reporters for the MSM are fake reporters and journalists. They have shamed their profession, and as Joseph Pulitzer said, "A cynical, mercenary, demagogic press will produce in time a people as base as itself."
There currently is one case I need to mention because of statements by the federal judge and that is Kerchner et al v Obama & Congress et al. Attorney Mario Apuzzo and of of his clients (plaintiff), Charles Kerchner, were guests on my radio show, June 10, 2009. While the courts have played fast and loose with the law because they are gutless cowards, it appears, at least at this point in time, that U.S. Magistrate Judge Joel Schneider, may be an individual who does respect the U.S. Constitution and the absolute right of we the people to challenge any usurper to public office. Read this because it's important:
"On page two the Judge writes, "In their complaint Plaintiffs assert violations of their constitutional rights alleging that Defendants have failed to conclusively prove that President Obama is a natural born citizen and therefore may not be eligible to serve as President of the United States." Then on page four the Judge writes, "Plaintiffs' Complaint raises significant issues necessitating that the named Defendants engage competent counsel to represent their interests."
"The Judge points out that the Department of Justice still has not decided who is going to represent whom for the seven defendants in the case. Later he then writes, "The Court is confident that after all the attorneys enter their appearances on behalf of all Defendants, that the case will proceed expeditiously." The Judge of course noted that we opposed the extension. And previously on page two, the Judge noted, "The Court has also received numerous letters from non-parties opposing Defendants' motion [Doc. Nos. 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 25]."
Let me go back for a moment to one of the staples used by Obama/Soetoro supporters who care absolutely nothing for the supreme law of the land - the gimmee crowd who have their hands out to receive the fruits of your labor Obama/Soetoro promised to steal for votes: Standing for plaintiffs. Dr. Edwin Vieira addressed this in one of his past columns:

The fear on the street is palpable. Ever since the election of Barack Obama as President of these United States in November 2008, coupled with the election of a democrat party majority in both the U.S. House and Senate, concern for the United States and personal safety has ignited like a fire in dry grass.
Sales of guns black guns, rifles, shotguns and handguns (particularly 9mm) everywhere, have gone through the roof. AR15s have literally flown off of dealer shelves, and only now in the spring of 2009, have I seen the display samples of ARs begin to reappear on the wall of my favorite shooting emporium after the initial post election rush.
Manufacturers of ARs are still working to catch up and some of the major suppliers are as much as 150,000 guns behind. Not only that, ammo is in the shortest supply I have ever seen in the 43 years of my shooting life. Have you recently tried to get 5.56mm, 9mm or even 380 ammo?
Supplies of 5.56mm and 9mm ammo are in short supply due to the black gun buying craze; .380ACP because of the rise in people getting concealed carry permits and the resurgence of interest in convenient 380 handguns like the fine Ruger LCP. In fact, in doing a review of the Ruger LCP, my gun store only had a small supply of ONE .380 round on hand, the Winchesters 95-grain SXT, which they had just gotten in. Unfortunately, I had to do a 30-round review of that pistol. There was none other to be found.
What is odd about this new fear is that it is not coming from the average citizen gun owner out there, but it is coming from what to me is an almost shocking source: street cops.
Street cops and SWAT cops that I know from various agencies rural, suburban and metro in my area are scared. Cops that before November 2008 never gave much thought (that I knew of anyway) to politics or more
importantly to gun rights. For the most part, these are the guys that didnt generally have any interest in shooting or gun ownership beyond keeping track of where their duty gun is, and a few of them didnt even do that so well.
The guys I am talking about now are some of the same guys who used to not even carry off duty on a regular basis- but not anymore. They dont scare easily, defenders of the Constitution of this State and the United States (as our oath of office reads), have been buying ARs, survival gear, and all the ammo they can lay their hands on. All of them (or I should say us) have been discussing and have been acquiring guns to provide a layered perimeter defense.
What are we suddenly so afraid of? Well in our discussions it seems to boil down to four areas.

The guys I am talking about now are some of the same guys who used to not even carry off duty on a regular basis- but not anymore. They dont scare easily, defenders of the Constitution of this State and the United States (as our oath of office reads), have been buying ARs, survival gear, and all the ammo they can lay their hands on. All of them (or I should say us) have been discussing and have been acquiring guns to provide a layered perimeter defense.
What are we suddenly so afraid of? Well in our discussions it seems to boil down to four areas.

Ugh. I am so maddeningly sick of the never-ending Michael Jackson circus, sucking up all the MSM oxygen and drawing out all the race hustlers and cable TV rats. Al Sharpton. Jesse Jackson. Celebrity lawyers. Sewage on parade.
Heres a man whose legacy and name you should tell your children about instead: U.S. Marine Corps Col. Kenneth L. Reusser. R.I.P. Via the Portland Oregonian:
They came by ones and twos Friday, quietly slipping into the pews at New Hope Community Church. They smiled at the words honoring a man whose faith made him an inspiration and whose exploits in three wars made him a hero.
And when the last mournful drone of the bagpipes faded, they said goodbye to Col. Kenneth L. Reusser of Milwaukie, the most decorated U.S. Marine Corps aviator in history.
He was the finest gentleman Ive ever met, said Harley Wedel of Fairview, a fellow Korean War veteran. Im really going to miss him.

Where Have the Grown-Ups Gone?

Why can’t we find a grown man who will put responsibility to country, wife and family above the allure of sex?
Arrested development is widespread. It is caused by a secular religion which takes sex and romance to be real love and spiritual fulfillment.
Gov. Mark Sanford, 49, a Christian Conservative, didn’t spend Father’s Day with his four sons. He flew off to Buenos Aires to be with his mistress Maria, 43, starting a two-week trial separation from his wife of 20 years, Jenny, 47.
By “listening to his heart†Sanford betrayed both his family and his nation. Like Eliot Spitzer, he was considered a front-runner for the GOP Presidential nomination in 2012. Like Spitzer, Mark Sanford has damaged his career at a time when America is sorely in need of honest, competent leadership.
Sanford’s personal emails to Maria from July 2008 were hacked by another of her suitors. They reveal that even at the pinnacle of his career, Sanford was seeking spiritual fulfillment in romance instead of service.
He complains that he has been dominated by his head for too long. “You have my heart,†he says. Love “has become a real need of mine. You have a particular grace and calm that I adore. You have a level of sophistication that is so fitting with your beauty…Above all else I love that inner beauty about you.â€
Sanford is idealizing this woman, easy to do when you have limited contact.(She is a divorcee who recommends Alan Greenspan’s last book, and is looking for a therapist.) By loving her, Sanford thinks he can possess her spiritual qualities and sophistication. He can’t. He must cultivate these qualities in himself.

A black eye for MCA
The Marine Corps Association ought to be a pretty exclusive club. Turns out, it has a problem with fakers.
Not one or two or three, but pos sibly dozens. At least 40 member profiles published in the organiza tion’s most recent directory are flawed. There are 16 bogus Medals of Honor, for example, 16 fake Navy Crosses and at least eight phony Silver Stars listed, based on a Marine Corps Times analysis. There are also at least five members listed who claim to have been Marines, but who appear never to have even served in the Corps.
There are victims in this mess, as well. A handful of legitimate combat heroes are listed with incorrect medals because of data-entry errors made by the third-party firm hired by the MCA to update its 2009 mem bers directory.
Unfortunately, some of them were lumped in with the phonies after the directory’s quality prob lems were exposed by an astute member of the MCA and Legion of Valor, an organization for recip ients of the military’s highest combat decorations. A Navy Cross recipient, retired Marine Lt. Col.
Thomas Richards was looking for fellow Marines to recruit for the Legion of Valor when the number of highly decorated vets he was finding triggered his faker radar.
A nonprofit organization com prising some 80,000 current and former Marines and dependents, the MCA fills a vital role in the Marine Corps community. It relies on membership fees and donations from members to host professional military education series and annual awards cere monies, among other key initiatives.
To some, 40 bad apples in an association that large might not seem like a crisis. It is. It under mines the group’s integrity and flouts one of the Corps’ most basic, sacred principles: honor.
Moreover, it’s against the law to claim false military honors, and the MCA has inadvertently endorsed some of those false claims.

WASHINGTON – In the latest effort to obtain information that could settled the controversy over Barack Obama’s eligibility for office as a “natural born citizen,†WND Editor and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah attempted to buy a full-page ad in a Honolulu daily newspaper soliciting assistance in finding documentary evidence of his birth in the city Aug. 4, 1961, as he claims in his autobiography.
Despite offering the full rate of $7,168.50 plus taxes for a full-page, color ad on page 2 of the news section of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin next Monday, the copy was rejected – the latest turndown by a growing list of media companies that won’t touch the birth certificate issue even for money.
“I spoke to my publisher and unfortunately we cannot accept the ad because it is political,†explained Cyd Kamakea, classified advertising manager.
